I have an important quarantine love story to share. Please follow along. (THREAD)
On March 23rd, my roommate @MonaghanShelby matched with a guy named Wes on @bumble. They started talking on the phone pretty quickly.
Three days later, before even video chatting, he ordered her a bunch of food from Gjusta. They FaceTimed. A week later, he sent her ingredients for margaritas and a pack of White Claws.
Then, last night, she showed him what she had made for dinner. He said he wished he could have some and offered to trade her a bottle of wine for leftovers.
He then came to our window with his roommate.
Tonight, he made dinner and offered to drop her some of HIS leftovers.
She disinfected the offering, obviously.
Where will this love story go? Only weeks trapped inside our house will tell! To be continued...
Tuesday, 4/7, noon: Wes bought he and Shelby a subscription to @masterclass so that they can take virtual classes together. He wants to start with @JuddApatow and then move onto some chefs.
Tuesday, 4/7, 5:45 PM: Wes texts @MonaghanShelby telling her to pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees and put on gloves.
While outside, I asked him — on behalf of all of you ladies — why other dudes on @Bumble aren& #39;t acting like this during quarantine.
This is what was in Wes& #39; delivery.
Food review from @MonaghanShelby and Riggins:
OMG. Wes just told me he deleted @bumble because "that’s like car shopping when you have a Bugatti in the driveway." (We& #39;re IG friends now, obvi.)
Wednesday, 4/8, 6:30 PM: Time for @MonaghanShelby to repay the favor. She prepares margaritas and chips/guac to drop at Wes& #39; place.
The hand-off. He made her cookie dough. I made sure they kept appropriate distance. But they need to get on that mask game ASAP.
Shelby says it& #39;s already getting hard not to touch.
Guys. Do we think they& #39;re actually gonna be a thing post-quarantine???
Friday, 4/10, 12:45 PM: Wes had a planned reconstructive surgery on his wrist. He& #39;s doing well and gets to go home soon — just an outpatient procedure! He loopily FaceTimed @MonaghanShelby from the medical center though.
6:36 PM: @MonaghanShelby made Wes an apple crumble to make him feel better and is dropping it off now. I& #39;m not going with them because she says they don& #39;t want me in their faces with my phone for every interaction? RUDE!
7:36 PM: She& #39;s back. Only took pics, no vids. I& #39;m just glad Wes is finally wearing a mask!
Saturday, 4/11, 10:57 PM: Early morning visitor. Riggs is into him. (To be fair, he basically loves all boys, so don& #39;t read too much into this.) Thankfully dogs aren& #39;t at risk COVID-19.
With his one good hand, Wes made @MonaghanShelby thyme biscuits and sausage. He& #39;s also wearing a beaded bracelet she made him that says "Howdy." (He& #39;s from Texas.)
Monday, 11/13, 5:00 PM: Wes drops by with some wine. @MonaghanShelby has to let him into the yard carefully.
He also brought a treat for Riggs because homeboy knows that to win @MonaghanShelby& #39;s heart, he also must win mine.
Time for the daily grilling from me. Hard to hear them through the masks! But Wes says he likes dating during quarantine because there are less distractions.
Then I made them pose for hilariously awk photos!
How long is it safe for them to hang out with masks on, six feet apart?
