kami 7 - why they might just be strongest idol unit : a thread
i’ve found that the girls who originally ranked in kami 7 all have a classic “idol archetype” to them. which might explain why they were so loved.
atsuko - the “unpolished” idol

they aren’t quite there yet when it comes to skills but that’s their charm. seeing their growth as a performer is the ultimate satisfaction.
yuko - the “genki” idol

i’d say genki idols are very important to idol groups. they might not be everyones favorite but they are almost always very beloved by fans and their high energy are often a magnet for new fans. they’re just so rejuvenating.
mariko - the “variety” idol

variety skills are just as important as singing or dancing is. it is a performance in itself. having someone that plays the “clown” is essential in any type of group and that doesn’t only go for idols.
mayu - the “orthodox” idol

they are perfect. they have a perfect image and are skilled at everything. they are polished performers and are the staple of what you’d call an idol.
minami - the leader

in life there are always leaders. that’s also the case for idol groups. they are the person members will turn to for advice. often they seem to be responsible by nature. people love selflessness so they are often loved by fans even if not favoured.
haruna - the “visual” idol

often depicted as the “useless” members even though that’s not the case most of the time. even so, they are usually an attractor for new fans so it goes without saying that their roles are, in reality, very important.
tomomi - the “cool” idol

idol groups often being full of “cute” members need cool/chic members to balance it all out. they usually take the lead during cooler concepts.
i think that, what one lacks, the other will compensate for and that is why these all very different girls were so perfect as the unity that was kami 7.
