we definitely didn& #39;t get everything right -- but what we DID get right was the same thing republicans are quickly also learning: people trust what their friends say more than what any politician or brand says. the messenger matters, often more than the message.
relational organizing is going to become even more critical amid a global pandemic where fear will be high and our government will be disseminating misinformation. a friend or family member talking to you about the election will be more effective than a stranger talking to you.
democrats are thankfully still better than republicans at one thing: we organize better. we should still be worried -- but we can combat this with real, authentic community organizing. not just building or using apps but empowering communities to organize themselves
