TIPS ON MEMORIZING QURANhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="✨" title="Funken" aria-label="Emoji: Funken">
A THREAD:
1. INTENTIONS!!
Maintaining pure intentions is essential. Know that you’re doing this for Allah SWT. When I was doing hifdh, I was told that I could never do it, so my intentions were to prove people wrong. Those weren’t the correct intentions and I had to redo my intentions.
2. CONSISTENCY:

“The most beloved of deeds to Allah are the most consistent of them, even if they are few.”
Ensure that you’re allotting time everyday just for Quran. Don’t just think I’ll do it when I’m free, rather have a specific 1-2 hours a day solely for memorization.
3. TIMING
I’d recommend reading after fajr as your mind is fresh and there aren’t many distractions. I found that I’d be too tired or lazy to memorize and practice later in the day. Instead of sleeping after fajr, which is already disliked try reading Quran.
4. MEMORIZATION TIPS:
I understand that it can be difficult to memorize things, especially larger ayahs and surahs. For that, I’d recommend breaking down bigger ayahs into smaller parts and repeating those parts 10-20x before moving onto the next part. Once you do move on to the
Next part don’t keep going before you attach that part and the previous one by repeating it 7x. I would do exactly this method over and over until I reached my goal and found it most effective. Marking the parts that you’re breaking up in a specific ayah with a pencil also helps!
5. REVIEW

After you finish memorizing, that definitely isn’t the end. As someone who never reviewed at first, I had to rememorize 10 juz at one point. If you finish memorizing a Surah REVISE IT! If you finish memorizing a juz, REVISE IT! Allot a certain amount to revise daily.
6. RECITE

The only ways your mistakes will be caught is to recite. Try finding a teacher and if that isn’t possible, recite to a family member that has proper tajweed. Don’t let mistakes and forgetting verses discourage you. This definitely is a process and you get better!!
7. LISTEN

If you’re memorizing a Surah, listen to it before you sleep. Choose a reciter who reads slowly. Listening to the Quran verses you’re memorizing aids in preventing pronunciation mistakes and betters your tajweed. It also makes you familiar with the verses.
If I missed anything, feel free to add it and Allah SWT knows best.
May Allah SWT bless everyone and make this an easy and beneficial process https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤲" title="Hände nach oben gegeneinander" aria-label="Emoji: Hände nach oben gegeneinander">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💕" title="Zwei Herzen" aria-label="Emoji: Zwei Herzen">
