I am sharing some STATA ado programs I created for stacked area graphs, to plot distributions of a labeled categorical numeric variable (frequency or percent) on a y axis as a function of a continuous variable (e.g. year, age, etc.) on the x axis variable. https://camerondcampbell.blog/stacked-area-graphs-in-stata/
From my dabbling in R I know these are easy to do with one of the packages there, but for some reason STATA doesn't have native capability. I hope these ado files are useful for others but I don't know if I can provide much support.
If STATA has this capability natively, or someone already developed a package, please let me know. All I could find was this thread on StataList https://www.statalist.org/forums/forum/general-stata-discussion/general/1434462-stacked-area-plot, the last post in which was the starting point for my ado files.
