It's weird seeing the entire world pat Jacinda on the back for her leadership and response during #covid19 when she has done absolutely nothing to cushion the blow for people on welfare and workers who were fired at will or made redundant. I feel like I'm in a twilight zone.

If she doesn't move to double welfare immediately and give lump sums of at least $1000 to beneficiaries then in the coming months and years we'll see an even bigger spike in suicides. Frankly, I'm sick of burying my friends who completed suicide. I don't want to bury any more.

The conservative aus government doubled welfare (as of 27 of April) & the 750 cash payments for people on benefits is now trickling throu. China gave 10,000 to every citizen... meanwhile Jacinda has only raised welfare by $25 & is using trickledown economics w/ the wage subsidy.
