Age of Ultron thread begins here.

I maintain the first half hour of this movie is exceptional. It’s fun, it’s dumb, it’s explosivey and funny.
This exchange doesn’t get nearly enough credit.
Age of Ultron also sets up Actually Funny Thor, and then Ragnarok brings it home better than Whedon could have ever hoped.
We also don’t talk enough about how fucking beautiful Andy Serkis is in this movie. Klaue is one of my favorite MCU characters.
Gah, Natasha’s Red Room memory. Remember when had a Black Widow movie coming out on May 1st?
God, the Hulkbuster fight still fucking slaps.
I forgot how much of this movie goes out of its way to reiterate, “yOu ArE iMpOrTaNt HaWkEyE”

Ron Howard VO: “he wasn’t.”
UGH the only real issue I have with Age of Ultron is the constant attempt to make Natasha and Bruce a couple.

Even my brother keeps turning to me to go, “them?” In the tune of:
Phil is a) extremely tight and b) extremely, extremely right. It’s not the best, but it is top three important.

A reminder that Age of Ultron uses something called the NEXUS Internet Hub, which acts as the physical center of the internet, to track down an artificially intelligent villain played by James Spader because he disappeared into cyberspace.

This movie came out in 2015.
This entire movie tries SO hard to make Hawkeye seem like anything more than an archer and it’s so freakin funny.
Age of Ultron’s final fight is basically capture the flag, and this feels like an excellent time to explain that I played a lot of paintball capture the flag in high school and college. I was terrible at it. I was the Hawkeye of our group and we never won.

That’s this AoU scene
Pietro’s death always makes me sad because he was my favorite X-Man character in the ‘00s cartoon.
Brother: “that movie is fucking awful.”

Me: “well you see, its important because-“

Brother: “I didn’t say important, I said awful.”

Me: “...But sad Tony!!-“

Him: “stop it.”
