What& #39;s amazing is how he makes that swerve from that angle of run up. He& #39;s running straight to the goal. Most of us can make a ball swerve outside the goal and back in, but would probably be coming at a 45 degree angle. https://twitter.com/StefansSoccer/status/1247165191059537920">https://twitter.com/StefansSo...
Switching it round for a right footer, so I can conceptualise it better, RC is approaching direct to the ball and goal, whereas I would be approaching from the blue line instead. It gets the same effect, but RC& #39;s technique has the benefit of adding a lot of disguise too.
Also couldn& #39;t generate that same power. Disguise, power, accuracy.
This makes me ask questions such as are we too concerned with technique correction? This is a strange and difficult technique, but it& #39;s deadly. Many would be tempted to correct this in kids.

And look at the shape of his follow through. Fairly upright, with the left leg twisting across his body.
Whereas if I& #39;m doing it, the strike and follow through would resemble something like this.
@gingeriffic_knh Would you be able to shed some light on this?
