Square did dirty with the release of FF7R, and even worse are acting like it’s not a big deal.

This game is out in the wild but people can only celebrate the bragging right of having it.

There’s no hype coming from it.

They even excused away doing an early digital unlock.

What about the people who have had to sit and wait for physical copies that aren’t even guaranteed to arrive on time. Even if you live in EU/UK, if you ordered from like Amazon, you’re not getting the game on time. People have already shown me their orders.

US retailers have the game right now and some have indeed broken street date. There are folks playing it over here as I tweet this thread.

Sony pulling TLOUp2 and Iron Man is a much more honest move, because they aren’t giving any advantage. Either everyone gets it or no dice.

Digital isn’t a viable solution either. I could download the game no problem, but someone out in another part of the world can’t.

The fact Sony is willing to sacrifice profits for the greater good to maintain the integrity of celebrating a worldwide launch is better than—

—a company willing to rush and ruin the release of a game the entire has anticipated for 2 console generations.
