(1) Ok, I'm revisiting my role as a futurist.

Please read this in it's entirety.

Sit down, pay attention, buckle up, this is important.

I believe Illinois is preparing a tougher stance on the shut-down order.

Allow me to explain why I believe this may be.
(2) Today, @IDPH released two new pieces of information on their site.

First, we got the new "infection rate by zip code" feature. It, by the way, is awesome.

Then, IDPH tweeted about "preparing our homes".

I'll share both of those links soon, but it's important to note...
(3) On the newer IDPH "Home Plan" section, it states:

"Depending on the severity of the outbreak, public health officials may recommend community actions designed to help keep people healthy, reduce exposures to COVID-19, and slow the spread of the disease. "
(4) I believe that zip codes will soon be seeing more localized enforcement and IDPH is preparing us for this.

It has occurred in Washington state, New York State, and of course, Italy.

FWIW, New Rochelle's more extreme lockdown was very successful.
(5) Dr. Ezike got real.

“I’d like to begin today with a few words of caution. Tomorrow will be our warmest day in many areas of the state. Please stay home, I assure you if people congregate tomorrow we will set the state back in our fight against COVID-19.”
-Dr. Ngozi Ezike
(6) THEN...

@LtGovStratton lent us different messaging. Instead of suggesting, as she often does, that we take a walk outside, she gave us this: https://twitter.com/LtGovStratton/status/1247255750033973248?s=19
(7) The tweet from @LtGovStratton said, without question, to stay indoors.
(8)

After all that, @IDPH, with the help of @chancetherapper, makes a pretty straightforward statement:

"You don't want no problems, want no problems with me."
-COVID19
@chancetherapper #StayHome

(Love you, Chano!) *Ahem*... Next...
(9) While yesterday @GovPritzker said
he hasn't ruled out temperature screens or curfew.

"These are perfectly good ideas" though he recognizes most are abiding the order.
(10) A shift in messaging- and one that is more CLEAR in it's continuity about what is truly expected of us, i.e. STAY INDOORS.

Tomorrow's weather might be everyone's last chance to take this as seriously as they should.

I have ZERO doubt that we all will.
(11) If tomorrow's sunshine brings out the recreation seekers, I truly believe we can look back on this moment and say: "They warned us. They tried. Now we'll have to know what a real lockdown feels like."
(12) So, for the sake of everyone, #ChicagoCovidRebellion begs you to stay inside tomorrow. Many will not.

You thought you knew what an #illinoislockdown felt like.

You don't.

You were warned by @IDPH, @GovPritzker, and @LtGovStratton today, please, take it to heart.
You can follow @CovidChicago.
