2. There're times when individual panic is good and necessary in order to avoid systemic catastrophes (see @nntaleb below).

We need to understand the depth of the problem we are in, and one way to do that is to face the harsh possibility that we might have thousands of deaths.
3. This reality, if faced early, can help us be proactive in our attempt at minimizing the potential devastation. #Africa is lucky, in that we have been given extra time to learn from other countries that are experiencing the worst of this pandemic.
4. I am more worried about the unconcerned attitude I'm seeing from some individuals in #Ethiopia, still believing that this is just a sort of flu - it's not.
