sorry, the tweet i tweeted earlier was COMPLETELY poorly phrased. the tweet said “but i’m not gonna sit here and pretend like i’d prefer a rushed, nationally untested and potentially catastrophic alternative like PREDICTE. sorry”
that portion of the tweet SHOULD have read but i’m not gonna sit here and pretend like I WOULD WANT a rushed, nationally untested and potentially catastrophic alternative like PREDICTE. sorry”
i do not want predicted grades. i don’t think they will work at all. that’s my opinion and you’re entitled to yours just as i am to mine. however, it’s of the opinion of ALL of us that the Leaving Cert MUST NOT go ahead in june. that is my firm and now unchanging belief
the slip-up was a mistake, and the original tweet was meant to indicate that even though I believe in the recklessness of a June exam, i’m not going to sit here and pretend i accept a rushed, nationally untested and potentially catastrophic alternative like PREDICTED grades
i don’t think the government has the capacity to introduce a representative system of predicted grades 600 times larger than the system right now. i also think that holding exams as scheduled is irresponsible, and agree with the governments plan to push them forward if needs be
that’s the last i say on it, because no one or nothing is going to change my opinion on this. the slip up came from a shock i got at 1:00am. forgive me
