So I’ve been really trying to choose my shopping trips carefully, #StayAtHomeAndStaySafe and whatnot. I went to Costco thinking I’d get some larger size veg to last a couple of meals. Imma gonna say 1/4 lb of this 2 1/4 lb bag of asparagus bought Sun was salvageable today. Bah
I heard a sad/interesting interview w a produce clerk @ Whole Foods who had coronavirus and was complaining that people touch and put back produce. So at King Soopers on Saturday I bought what I touched.
This included 2 boxes of power greens - I eat them a lot. Sunday AM, I went to sauté and they were already melted in the bottom of the box.
Fine, I thought. I will give the mush to the chickens. But guess what? One of the Bawk Chois FLUNG a leaf back in my face. Too gross for even the hens, I guess. And, FWIW, I can’t take back the produce BC coronavirus concerns.
Anyway. If anyone is wondering, King Soopers is fully stocked w stuff like tater tots. I’m hoping to have some edible greens in my garden before the stay-at-home order lifts here April 26.
Socially conscious shopping, which 100% fogs your glasses, is for the birds.
