A month ago, I still thought: "If I get sick, it will suck, but I'll be okay."

Now I know that I'm wrong. The #Coronavirus could kill me. I could get sick after the hospitals are overwhelmed and there aren't the resources to save my life. I'm 29. People my age/younger have died.

@GovEvers tried to postpone the WI election. The GOP blocked it. I requested an absentee ballot that never came; maybe a clerical error due to lack of resources. But the #SupremeCourt has now overruled the WI absentee deadline extension, so even if it comes, it will be too late.

#Milwaukee, a city of more than 600k people, will have 5 polling locations open tomorrow. That's less than 3% of the normal number. This is because poll workers--many of whom are elderly--are afraid, too. They're obeying the #SaferAtHome order.

@WIGOPSenate How does this maintain the integrity of an election? How does making people choose between life or casting a ballot preserve democracy? We are entering the week where rates of #coronavirus infection are at a peak. This election will be nothing short of illegitimate.

I've chosen not to go to the polls tomorrow because I'm afraid for my life. So now, after everything, I can't even vote against the people who have put us in this position. People will die, and I can't do anything but stay home and try to #FlattenTheCurve.
