Before you decide to reach the block button, all I ask is that you hear me out, that is all. If one can do that just this once then there is hope for this world. (1)

Now for the record I do understand why one would object to #Canada joining the #UnitedStates, mainly because 99% of those advocate it are #DisasterCapitalists who want to make money by turning #Canada into another version of #America. (2)

I am not one of those guys, I am someone who fundamentality believes that #DemocraticSocialism is not just the only way to solve all our political & economic problems (as well as the only way to improve all our living standards and quality of life)... (3)

...but it is also the only way to save the planet as well from the #ClimateChange that we will all have to face, no matter how many boundaries we put up.

So when people like to talk about a #GreenNewDeal that does all that I advocate, I am very much in favour of it. (4)

In fact it's my fundamental belief in #DemocraticSocialism that is the ultimate reason why I support #LondonIndependence, not because I am a natural seperatist but rather as a way to have my home city be governed by a #DemocraticSocialist Government. (5)

So you might be asking why I am advocating for #Canada (and #Britain for that matter) to join the #UnitedStates, well there are 2 reasons for this. (6)

The first reason is that it helps make a #DemocraticSocialist Western World possible. You see we live in a world where the current form of capitalism is not only disastrous for human society (as the #COVID2019 Crisis & #GreatRecession has proven)... (7)

...but also disastrous for our planet since it represents the biggest barrier to real action against #ClimateChange.

Hence why the Western World needs to embrace #DemocraticSocialism. (8)

However due to the strong economic & political influence of the #UnitedStates over the rest of the Western World & the fact the United States is under the control of a #GOP/ #FarRight/ #Elite Orthodoxy. (9)

It is impossible for #DemocraticSocialism to prevail in the Western World so long as forces opposed to it continue to control the #UnitedStates. (10)

Thus for that to change; it would require the #GOP to lose its deadly grip on American Politics, be it in both Houses of #Congress & the Presidency. (11)

For that happen; the #Democrats would have to increase the number of seats they hold in both Houses of Congress to 2/3 in both cases, while gaining enough of a EC advance to secure the Presidency no matter what the candidate. (12)

That is where #Canada & #Britain come in; because, if we both joined the #UnitedStates, we would provide enough Congressmen, enough Senators & enough Electoral Collage Votes to provide #Progressive forces in #America the 2/3's majority (& secured Presidency)... (13)

...they need to pass Constitutional Amendments & Override Vetos, which in turn will pave the way in moving the #UnitedStates towards a more #Progressive direction & in turn help pave the way for the Western World to move towards a more #DemocraticSocalist direction. (14)

Likewise the second reason is that for the last 100 years or so both of our nations ( #Canada & #Britain) have been under the overlordship of the #UnitedStates, a situation that has resulted in both our nation's being unable to do anything without #America consent. (15)

Which has also meant that the #UnitedStates has repeatedly got away with screwing either of us far too many times, something that would not be the case if the #American Government of the day knew that our votes would either elect them or vote them out. (16)

Thus; while both of our nations ( #Canada & #Britain), would lose our nominal sovereignty by joining the #UnitedStates, we would be gaining a lot more control in reality, because under those circumstances we would at least have full control over our own destiny. (17).

Plus one cannot forget that another benefit of #Canada & #Britain joining the #UnitedStates is that it would make the likes of Trump unelectable in the United States, which can never be considered a bad thing. (18)

Anyway; that's all I have to say on the matter (unless you respond to this thread), simply because I wanted to set the record straight about exactly why I want #Canada & #Britain to join the #UnitedStates. So I hope you all stay safe in the face of the #Covid_19 Crisis. (19)
