If Mr. Rogers says you can wish a lion to eat your family- I can wish anything I want about oppressive eugenicists.

Murderous anger is a normal response to abuse.

Murderous acts are different things entirely.

Wish whatever you want. You can even find someone’s death relieving, especially if you didn’t cause it.

You might have empathy for your abuser - although I hope you will have at least as much and more for yourself

But you are not required to feel anything positive about them whatsoever.

And when their capacity to stop abusing others comes to its final end? Feel all the relief you want.

And when leaders are abusive on a national or global scale? - you can absolutely wish for any and all forms of fateful relief.

And if you think I am too accepting of aggression - I'll just remind you that the kindest man that ever lived totally agreed with me.

He "wished for so many" so you can wish whatever the hell you want.

(and in my life I have worked with people who have committed murders and other acts of violence - and they are no where near as scary to me as the people who won't even allow themselves to wish it.)

And if you feel too conflicted (or too confused about the distinctions between normative autonomic emotion, magic, and and magical thinking) I'm happy to feel whatever wish for relief that you can't - on your behalf.

(Also: You are allowed to speak ill of the dead. Death is natural. It happens to people who have done both good and bad things. Death doesn't erase the harm the dead have done)

and split off, repressed, disavowed aggression is so much more dangerous that aggression consciously owned and managed.

What we feel is not the same as what we *do*.
