Okay, I've decided to make a short thread for Kpop fans who have been spreading false info about the way BH handled legal issues regarding the case of the minor making defamatory comments on Twitter. This will be the very last time I will talk about this. (I hope. 🙃)
1. "The kid shouldn't be sued right off the bat! They should at least get a warning first."

She WAS warned. Several times. After making those posts, ARMYs warned them that if she didn't delete, she would be reported. And she admitted that she didn't take it seriously.+
Also, BH has been making statements for YEARS that they will have no leniency on malicious behavior, so she's had plenty of time to rethink her actions, especially because people have posted online before about how they got fined for talking sht about the boys.
2. "I can't believe BH reported them to police knowing that they're 11!"

BH would have never known the person behind the account was a 6th grader. People think that BH was aware of the kid's age, but it would be illegal for BH to look up someone's info like that.+
All they did was file a report on the account and send it to the police. So all these people acting like BH knew it was an 11 y/o before filing a report need to rest.
3. "They publicly humiliated her just to scare trolls!"

No they didn't. The girl outed herself online. Nobody asked her to reveal that she got sued. If she hadn't posted, no one would have known.
4. "But taking them to court is too much!"

It's not. All the kid has to do is take her parents to the station to pay a fine and then write a letter of apology. She doesn't have a court date idk where people got that from.
5. "This could ruin her life!"

Not really. Even though she'll get fined, it won't go on her record. And even if it did ruin her life, she should have thought about that before tweeting.
6. "What if her parents can't afford it?"

Again, she should have thought of that, because she got several warnings. Also, it's useless to get hung up on what ifs. If you don't know the parents' financial situation, then don't comment on it like you do.+
On top of that, the court usually assesses a person's ability to pay the fine before they have to fork over any money, so if the parents couldn't afford it, the court would have taken that into consideration.
7. "It was just some tweets, why are y'all so hung up on it?"

They were not "just some tweets". They were tweets falsely accusing a member of sexual harassment. That is defamation of character, which is literally a crime. She BROKE the LAW.
8. "BH are money-hungry for suing a child."

You realize that when these people are fined, the fine isn't paid to the person who filed the report, right? The money collected from fines goes back into the government, meaning BH gets ZERO financial gain from filing reports.
9. "Why is BH suing kids when they could be suing _____? 🙄"

They ARE suing those people. It's just that those people haven't posted about themselves being sued because they're probably ashamed. Just because you didn't read about it, doesn't mean it's not happening.+
Legal proceedings are normally handled privately, so of course you won't hear about how BH is suing this sasaeng or this anti. The only way to know is if those people talk about it. So please just shut it if you don't know the full story.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. I'm sorry to keep bringing this topic on your tl, but I was really annoyed about it yesterday and wanted to clear up any confusion.

You may carry on with your day.
Small correction: for number 5, it does go on their criminal record. But again, she should have thought about that before tweeting.
