You can& #39;t tell, but the output of our switcher at @KBTXNews (which runs just about everything you see on our newscasts) crashed yesterday. For 24 hours, our engineering and production teams have worked around the clock to make sure it doesn& #39;t affect how we share the news.
People are quick to thank the members of our team they see every day, but the work these guys do goes quietly unnoticed and is so critical. Equal shoutout to our producers (also unseen) who’ve stayed creative to make sure we still shared news at the level our community expects.
We’re blessed with such an amazing team at KBTX that genuinely loves the Brazos Valley. Excited (just like everyone else) for things to be back to normal and to see them in person. Until then, settling for Zoom happy hours and lots of phone calls. Stay well out there, everyone!
Also, h/t to @TVsMichaelOder for photos from the station. He& #39;s holding down the fort in the newsroom while I& #39;m living #wfhlife.
