I am absolutely livid. Why? Because my aunt works as a cashier at a grocery store, and she is being treated like filth. Not only is her employer not properly protecting her, people are throwing groceries at her. YOU REALIZE THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS NOT A CASHIER'S FAULT, RIGHT?

She's just there to ring up your groceries and handle your filthy money. It's not her fault there is a max of 1 per item allowed. Blame your hoarding neighbors for that. She's not the one who decided only a few people at a time can be let inside. Blame those who refuse to isolate

She is an essential worker, at risk, FOR YOU, and you're throwing shit at her because you aren't allowed to purchase 973 pallets of toilet paper. She puts herself to risk by coming into contact with hundreds of people per day so YOU can have your groceries. Not to be assaulted.

She works part time, at low wage, because the store doesn't hire full time cashiers because then they would have to pay benefits. Now they're offering "bonuses" for workers. They already got bonuses. Know what the last part time bonus was? 0.125%. Same as not getting a bonus.

How do I know this? I USED TO WORK THERE. It was one of my stores before being escorted out due to "restructuring." If y'all in the general public don't start treating your retail employees better, I'm going to break quarantine to beat y'all's asses. STOP BEING A DICK.
