Someone who works at my church called me today - I figured to talk about Easter week and the digital transition. While that was part of it - the main reason they called was that they were calling all church members in this tough time to see if they could pray for them.

I was taken aback a bit and surprised - but given that largely I’m lucky in this current situation I just asked for prayers for those that need it more than me. Right then and there on the phone he said a prayer, and then I went along with my day. It’s stuck with me all day.

Pretty powerful thing to do right now and as much as I benefited from it - I can’t imagine how some people in tougher situations will feel having someone randomly call to pray over them like that. Regardless of your beliefs - this kind of “small” gesture can be very very big.
