Since autism awareness day passed I wanted to talk about my twin brother and how much I love him and all his lil quirks #AutismAwarenessMonth
I never really knew my brother was autistic because we got along really well but my mum would always say small things that made me know that he was a lil different and that I needed to love him more
He used to always eat different food from me since he was really picky with most things and I thought it was unfair and that’s the first time she spoke to me about Autism and how it affected him
He used to get bullied a lot mainly Cos he was the type of person who wouldn’t talk and when he did it was really confusing. So to him I was his only friend and I didn’t mind because I naturally enjoyed his company
He has learning difficulties and has problems speaking to people so he doesn’t talk to people much but when he does he doesn’t stfu but I love him and listen to every word because he lowkey talks about intresting shit 😭
Despite all that and all the negative sterotypes about autism my brother is one the best ppl I know and could easily outshine anybody in a room because he’s caring and companionate
Know that he’s older he stays in his room most times playing games but when I’m upset or my mum he can easily tell and comes into our rooms and sits on the bed to strike random conversation. That’s just his way is saying “ily, do you wanna talk about it”
Two years ago he got robbed on his way from school by some guy on a moped with a knife. I remember the school calling my mum and telling her to come, I can’t explain the kind of shock I went Into. The entire car ride to the school I couldn’t stop crying and thinking about
How scared he might’ve been and and given the knife crime rate in London the possibility of losing him. He doesn’t like to be touched but when I saw him at the school reception I hugged him soo much and didn’t wanna let go
This pictures like ten years old but anyways to end the thread, I luv my twin and all his quirks
