A number of staff are off. Some isolating because family members are poorly.

The care home manager has tried for days to get them tested. She was told ‘no’.

Deputy Manager Jen made the selfless decision to move in to the care home.

She’s leaving her family behind to try and limit her exposure on the outside.

She says she’s exhausted.

They were down to one nurse at the care home today.

The staff here say they feel forgotten.

I asked @NicolaSturgeon how many care workers had been tested in Scotland.

She could not give me a figure today but said they were gathering data.

Neither England nor Wales could give us figures either.

Later this afternoon the care home was told one worked would be tested.

They might get him back by Friday.

The patients are all confined to their rooms. It’s all the staff can do to try and protect them.

Four in five have dementia. Some do not understand what is going on no matter how often the carers tell them.

95 year old Jessie was so happy when we saw her last week.

Dance class, karaoke and keep fit kept her busy. All cancelled.

She said she wishes the virus would just go away.

The care home manager is angry. Not just about the lack of testing and PPE.

She’s not confident her residents will be admitted to hospital if they fall ill.

In Dumbarton, care worker Catherine Sweeney died of Coronavirus on April 4.

In Glasgow, 16 residents have died in one care home.

Care workers are frightened.
