Alright, I’m going to make this a thread. I said I was going to explain the story on how I was about to pick up P5R at GameStop but it was literally closed and then reopened so here goes.

So I was outside, wearing a cloth mask to protect from people who possible have the coronavirus. Soon as I put it on, I ran.

So I was pretty close to the mall, so I decided to cool my “Hype Level” down a bit and took a walk to the mall where GameStop is.

My Hype Level started rising so I started to speed walk up to where GameStop was at the mall. As soon as I walked up to GameStop, it was closed. The gate was shut down.

I was furious, like why the hell would they emailed me saying they have my copy and that I have 48 hours to get it then, it hit me. Because of the coronavirus situation.

I started calling the employee who emailed me that they have my copy of P5R, but she didn’t answer. I called her about 4 times then I gave up.

As I walking to the main part of the mall, I noticed a lot of people were wearing mask and a bunch of stores were closed. I literally said to myself, “Wow, so that means GameStop is permanently closed until this whole damn situation of the virus is over...”.

Just when I thought I finally had my hands on the game, my expectations were low. So I walked home all sad and frustrated.

I was close by my house so I decided to call the employee one last time. It took like 30 seconds but she finally answered. I was relieved, saying thank god.

She picked up and said can I help you? I responded saying, “Um, is your store closed until tomorrow or until the whole coronavirus situation is over? She responded saying, “No, it’s still opened til 5:00pm”. Then, I was confused.

I said, “Well, the store is closed, like the gate is shut down.” Then she said, “Oh! the reason why we closed down the store for awhile was because an employee was sick, he had the coronavirus.” And I was in shock saying, “Wow, sorry about that.”

I literally thought to myself, “Wow, GameStop is just so pitiful to their employees! Literally one of them got the coronavirus because they’re force to still work during this situation!” This is disgusting of them.”

I said, “Okay, I’m on my way to pick it up.” She said okay, thank you, I said the same thing then I ran.

I made it to GameStop and was relieved that it was reopened. I went to show her my preorder receipt and she started to get the copy of the game.

I then asked her if they will have physical copies of FFVII Remake by Friday and she said, “I’m not too sure but those who preordered it can get the physical copies.” Only 8 people preordered it. I could’ve preordered it but was tight on money and I can’t work because of Covid.

So I assumed that they won’t have copies of the game by Friday, but those who preordered it will so later tonight I’m just going to preorder the Deluxe Editon on the PlayStation Store. After that little conversation, she gave me my copy of P5R.

And that was it pretty much. Got my game, I’m happy as hell but I’m still mad at GameStop because I should’ve had my game last week. Feel free to spread this thread to many others because this is serious. A working employee got the coronavirus, so sad.
