Disappointing to hear @AlboMP countering public health advice about Parliament being *temporarily* suspended. We need everyone to help w social distancing & it isn’t just about the pollies’ egos - there are hundreds of staff that enable @Aust_Parliament to function.

This again goes to our current politicians’ lack of awareness of our existing pandemic preparedness plans. The suspension of Parliament was a recognised need to ensure our leaders can continue to do their job. It is a temporary suspension, not the end of democracy as some claim.
