We share and learn from one another and, without that, all our jobs are tougher.

Don't rely on Twitter. If you're not active on LinkedIn already then I respectfully suggest you should be.

There's a very active #eventsafety and #crowdsafety community over there and discussions are frequent and useful.
Mark over at @wwcrowds shares and collates a wide range of useful resources.

He cares about the industry and is always keen to help out.
The folks at @CSatMMU are delivering some great courses and, along with @ManMetUni in a wider and broader context, are developing more and more.

They also run an annual conference, which brings great industry people together.
UK-based most of the time, @isemurphy has worked on some superb #events all around the world.

She has also worked on the local authority planning side of things too.

A great professional and full of insights.
The originator of many of the key planning tools lots of us use on a daily basis, @GKStill teaches and works on projects globally still.
The folks at @EventSafetyCan are very active on here and they share a wide range of of-interest stories regularly, helping us all keep abreast of developments globally.
Based in Australia, @CrowdControlGuy is very active on social media and is always keen to share and help others.
The team over at @CRESTPlanning have developed a superb event management software package called Halo.

Lloyd and Greg there are really good guys and are ex-police with really solid operational experience.
The @EPCollege has been running courses of relevance to those of us operating in #crowdsafety and #eventsafety for a long time.

Some of them are really good and it has a good reputation globally.
As regards organisations, check out @IOSH_tweets @IIRSM and @EventSafety4All.

IIRSM is particularly active in #eventsafety in recent years.

The ESA does a good podcast too.
The @CrowdSafetyMag is a relatively new resource for the industry but has great potential.

Have a look. Contribute something. Maybe advertise in it.
I met @ekantnl and @Bert_Bruyninckx on the MSc course in MMU.

Both are active both operationally and academically and are always interested in sharing knowledge and experience.

They're also very nice blokes too, which helps.
Straight-talking @ericsstuart is ex-Police in the UK and has experience in planning and managing safety at #events all around the world.

He is still operational in planning events as well as spending a lot of time training the industry.
The annual @E3Sworld event is a great one, with significant networking opportunities as well as a host of good speakers and sessions each year.

Organised by @ILMC and definitely worth looking at.
I'm biased, but check out @SafeEventsIE, our own business.

Our blog has useful resources and we are very active in the online communities in the industry.

Our webpage of upskilling and training opportunities since #Covid_19 has proven very popular.

The @NCRQ_UK provides training similar to what IOSH has traditionally done.

If you're looking for a grounding in more traditional health and safety then their courses may suit you.
In Canada, @actsafe operates to help keep workers in the entertainment industry safe in their workplace.

They are involved in organising training over there with leading experts, which is great for the industry.
We recently had @ProfJohnDrury over here to Ireland to deliver his 2-day Masterclass on Crowd Psychology for Crowd Safety Management.

John is VERY active on here and shares resources consistently.
Joe and his team @RDHSltd are quite active on here too and are worth checking out.

Joe was recently confirmed as the Head of Health and Safety at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The folks @OnePlanEvents are building an interesting tool for the industry and are involved in a lot #skillsshare webinars at the minute too.

Paul in there is very experienced and always looking to help our the industry.
There's @NCS4usm in the States, an organisation involved in spectator safety and security for sporting #events

They work with Interpol to develop and deliver training in this area too.
Our friend @Rupertbassadone runs Event Site Design in the UK and he led the charge on the recent #skillsshare initiative.

He's a great guy and another who is always happy to do his bit to help the industry.
A mention for @ClareIIRSM and the team at @IIRSM for embracing #crowdsafety and #eventsafety as areas of specialisation within their global membership organisation.

We've helped run a couple of conferences with them and they've gone well.
