Hi Gothamites. 95% of my entire comic book collection (single issues (100s signed and 1,000s non signed), tpb, omnibuses, CGC’d, etc) I discovered yesterday was stolen from my property at home between moving / having workers at our house.
This thread is just me venting and trying to cope to I think the biggest community that could understand how this loss feels like a death in my family.
After trying to figure out what happened, I broke down and hysterically cried to the point of being on the floor for 2 hours.
I had to be sedated to calm down, & basically passed out from sadness and slept. Today, I finally woke up from what I was sure was a nightmare, but it wasn’t. I just have time to reflect on this & learn why having something that brings you joy is so important to get through life.
Every book I knew where & why I got it, & the memory I’ll forever have while collecting. I remember finding an original copy of Barbara Gordon’s 1st appearance at a Long Beach Antique Store & the owner having NO idea why I was so happy. But they took my pic because I was happy.
