Someone in my neighborhood called the police and made a noise complaint because someone in my building plays gospel music loudly every Sunday. I mean why live in Harlem if your response to a Black person playing gospel music is to call the police? During a pandemic? Sick of it.

So many conflicts could be avoid if people just took the time to get to know their neighbors...or not gentrify neighborhoods and then call the police on Black folks. They really had these cops going door to door in our building. I am pissed.

I could care less the type of music that was being played or how loud it was. No one should be calling the cops to deal with a noise conflict with a neighbor especially in a predominantly Black neighborhood where a small interaction with the NYPD can lead to someone’s death.
