Quebec Jewish stuff worth tweeting: scenes like these as gotcha journalism is inappropriate. Nationalists, restrain yourselves...
Creeped out to see a couple journalists sharing scenes of Hasids congregating in small private groups when people all over the city are doing the same in public. Just saw four people and their dogs within two metres of each other on the Lachine canal. Stop the presses...
There should be no increase in news relevance parallel to the otherness of misbehaving citizens some journalists are looking to scold.
Hasid-watching has been a sport of sorts among some Outremont nationalists for a while. This is an older photograph by G. Proulx that hangs in my office. Caption: "Maybe we can change a bylaw!"😬

(Proceeds went to charity so I'm OK owning it, karmically, as a reminder of sorts.)
If we're all in this together, Ça va bien aller, etc... That, dear Outremont nationalists, means everyone. You may discriminate but COVID-19 doesn't. SVP, at least for a few months, avoid publicly shaming people who don't share your worldview.
