A very close loved one is being intubated as we speak.

My self, my wife, and my children have been exposed as my wife had to drive this person to the hospital for a surgery last week.

I’m feeling so many things right now, mostly anger.

Please stay the fuck home

We just found out. We are self isolating. I don’t know what else to say.

Some positive news. The hospital was mistaken when they told us she was intubated, or it was decided against, not sure, either way it’s hopeful there.

My son and I are already at a testing centre, so top marks to the Saskatchewan government for response time.

3 hours from finding out we were exposed to being tested. Top. Fucking. Marks.

I swear this is going back to a joke account after this, I just know some people are curious as to how things shake out once you’ve been exposed in Canada so if my story can help, I’ll share it

They didn’t use that giant swab that goes like 9” up your nose. They only do that if they can’t get a good sample from you the easy way.

It was a swab of the back of the throat, and both nostrils no deeper than you’d send a finger up there

I’ll keep updating this thread as this unfolds. For now it’s straight back home for self isolation. We should know in 1-3 days
