This morning, Secretary of State Raffensperger joined his predecessor, Governor Kemp, and House Speaker Ralston in a long line of Republicans who are terrified of the day when every Georgia voter’s voice is heard. https://twitter.com/stphnfwlr/status/1247185668608065536
In Georgia, we saw these same tactics with the Quitman 10+2, when the state used its investigatory authority to intimidate voters of color from exercising their constitutional right to vote. https://news.yahoo.com/quitman-10-2-local-voter-085500654.html
There is a direct line from that attempt to criminalize the use of absentee ballots to the Absentee Ballot Fraud Task Force. These tactics not only block voters from the ballot, they create a culture of fear that exercising your right to vote can cost you everything.
. @GaSecofState has plenty of real work to do to ensure a fair and accessible primary without the unnecessary use of taxpayer dollars on state-sponsored voter intimidation.
My campaign will work tirelessly to ensure that Georgia voters can cast their ballot, despite intentional efforts to dissuade them from participating in our democracy, and that every ballot will be counted this year.
