Okay so, apparently some clarifications are due.
Buckle up, it's gonna be a ride.
tw rape. #SexualAssaultAwareness
So apparently people think it's okay to make rape jokes with other people who are okay with it. Let me explain why it might be dangerous: you trivialize rape. https://twitter.com/Dulcamarra/status/1247144467100053505
Doing this, you side with the perpetrator in a way and reinforce rape culture that makes society think a rape is "not that bad". It is.
It leaves traumas and PTSD.
Rapists are not dark shady dudes in alleys waiting for a prey to show up.
Some of them are, but most of the time, rapists KNOW their victims.
They're family members, so-called friends, acquaintances. One of my "friend" who tried to assault me several times told me "women never really say no".
(Some victims are in lockdown with their abusers atm)
Victims are told they will "ruin a someone's life" if they press charges, and if they do, they have to go through an invasive procedure, right after the rape, and then re-live the trauma in front of officers, and then jury and public, and be doubted and blamed all the time.
"Is she doing for money ? For the fame ? Look at her, she got paid and gave up, probably a fake, duh."

No. There are fakes, doesn't mean you should doubt everyone.
TL;DR:

YES, rape jokes are a big deal, yes, there are other ways to say you got your ass handed over to yourselves in a PvP game, please don't trivialize rape or traumas, for everyone's sake.

Rapes cause PTSD. You wouldn't disrespect a veteran, don't disrespect victims.
