I’m out on my first walk in a while, on a trail where dogs are allowed, but only on leash. I’ve had two dogs run up to me. One of them jumped all over me, and when its owner pulled him off, she put it on a leash- for 30 seconds until she was farther down trail. Please, no

I love your dogs. But this isn’t a good time to have your dogs off leash in unexpected places. There are birds that nest on the ground- and people like me who you might not see because I’ve stepped six feet off the trail to give you space.

Haha, sigh. It literally just happened again while I was tweeting this. The dog’s leash was on but the owner wasn’t holding it, and the owner still yelled at me that it was “on leash”... oof.

(I was totally visible to the owners this time... and last time, too.)
