I was hugely critical of Ole being given reign of Manchester United at first.
However, I would now actually prefer he stays for the coming season and this is why...

When Ole initially took over, the biggest difference that you could see was that the players were genuinely putting in 100%.
This is unquestionable & worthy of huge credit.
Important to add at this point that this has not changed one bit since his first fixture.

This is an issue that most managers struggle with often.
Consistency is so difficult to keep up at such a high level with players getting ever younger and the game getting more intense every season that passes.

One thing that's slept on by the United fan base is that of our defensive record.
It is incredible under Solskjaer. And has been consistently.
We are in the top 3 for goals conceded in the Premier League despite having had a horrific start to the season.

As you can see, this is only bested by Liverpool - The league leaders, and Sheffield United - who's goalkeeper has been instrumental thus far and is likely to start for United next season.
This can only remain the same or improve with a signing such as Thomas to cover the CBs.

One thing that deserves IMMENSE credit is his record in big games.
There is no better indicator of a great coach than his ability to outplay another great manager AND his set of very talented players.
These performances have come regularly.

Here is a summary of Ole's big game record against the big 6 in the PL to show the significance...
This includes home AND away.
Ridiculously good.
We're more likely to WIN a big game than even to draw it.
Memories of PSG come back also... deserved a mention.

Despite our attacking play being useless for months, Ole now has consistently got the best out of Fred as a player.
Ole inserted him right where he needed to be - playmaking from deep & destroying counters.
No fan would now question his price tag or his value to the team.

He has got the very best out of Rashford, who has been incredible this season.
The only player who I would say isn't performing under him to a high standard is Jesse Lingard, however I think we can forgive him for that.
De Gea - error prone this season, not much to do with Ole.

Since Bruno has joined, our midfield has been given that missing peice where we didn't have enough creators.
This often lead to Martial dropping deep and then realising he was the striker so had no one to pass forward to.

Once having better forward players, his attacking setups have improved dramatically, a very encouraging sight and I'll explain why...
With Pogba returning, Sancho joining & Thomas likely to come, I see a genuine title challenge coming from United in the 2020/21 season.

In Summary Ole has:
- A fantastic defensive record.
- Been able to create a consistent attitude in the squad.
- Immense execution in big games.
He has begun to demonstrate with better players that he is competent with attacking.
The last peice of the puzzle.

One further mention is that he has demonstrated he can be fully trusted with signings.
All of our new players look excellent & it is encouraging to know he will recruit further talent when the time is right.

This is why Ole deserves an additional season at Old Trafford.
I was heavily sceptical initially as the Glazers wanted to quickly appease fans upon his appointment, however he has proved with time that he deserves a chance to being United back where they belong.
