“American Horror Story” Season 10 might be based on The Bridgewater Triangle, a 200 square mile hotbed of unexplained paranormal activity located in Southeastern Massachusetts. The area has also been referred to as “America’s Bermuda Triangle.” #AHS
The Bridgewater Triangle is home to reports of UFO sightings, fireballs, poltergeists, giant snakes, Bigfoot, satanic cult activity, blood curses, and thunderbirds, as well as unsolved ritual sacrifices and animal mutilations. #AHS
The name was coined by cryptozoologist Loren Coleman, who started investigating local creature reports in the 1970s. When he mapped out where the incidents occurred, he discovered they were confined to the area spanning Abington, Rehoboth, and Freetown: a perfect triangle. #AHS
Ryan Murphy revealed that a big clue to the theme of “American Horror Story” Season 10 was hidden in the penultimate episode of “1984.” Stacy Phillips’ reference to several cryptids and the 1970s led many fans to believe that the season would explore urban legends. #AHS
Additionally, it was revealed that Season 10 will be partially filmed in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It’s been confirmed that Provincetown is not the story’s setting, however, it’s possible that it takes place elsewhere within the state. #AHS
Ryan Murphy’s seaside cast reveal also led fans to believe Season 10 might tackle The Bermuda Triangle, thus The Bridgewater Triangle is a perfect blend of some of the fandom’s most popular theories. Would you like to see @AHSFX’s take on it? #AHS
Also, in a competitive bidding war last year, FX acquired the rights to adapt Brian Miller’s short story “The Bridgewater Triangle” for television. “Fargo” creator Noah Hawley was set to produce a pilot, but it’s unknown if the project is moving forward with his involvement. #AHS
