Here's a somewhat lengthy update on the coronavirus here in Denmark: Denmark's PM Mette Frederiksen has held a press conference today in which she outlined the measures taken to combat the #COVID19 outbreak. #Denmark will gradually open up, starting April 15. #COVID19dk
From April 15 onwards, kindergartens and school grades up until fifth grade are re-opened, under the condition that safety precautions are taken (i.e, distancing between the children & increased attention to hygiene).
The rest of the country remains on 'lockdown' until May 10. Restaurants, cafes, barber shops, malls and such establishments shall remain closed until May 10. Large gatherings have been prohibited until September; festivals and huge events are subsequently prohibited until then.
Exams for secondary school graduates (9th grade) have been cancelled. The last grades given prior to the exams will count as the final grades. Students from sixth grade onwards should continue to study from home, for the time being.
It seems possible that other aspects of the country slowly re-open before May 10, but that hugely depends on how the first phase (first tweet in this thread) of re-opening the country goes. #COVID19dk
On another note, Denmark's PM Mette Frederiksen has really handled this #COVID19dk outbreak well. Constantly kept the country's citizens involved and informed, and the gov't overall has handled the situation very well, in my opinion.
