Succession: Famila drama, comedy
Straight up some of the best writing i’ve seen hands down. Every character has so many layers and depth and it’s a really great character study/satire on rich billionaires

Barry: Dark comedy
So fucking hilarious, it’s about an assassin who wants to become an LA actor but he sucks at it. It’s Dark, cringey, absurd, and has some really touching and sad moments as well.
Would recommend to anybody who enjoys stupid humor and good action.

Ballers: Sports comedy, drama-ish
I hate football but I honestly really enjoyed this show. Its the Rock in a role where he isn’t just smiling being strong, and the side characters are absolutely hilarious and a joy to watch.

Silicon Valley: Tech Comedy
This show is like a good version of TBBT, it’s fun, the jokes are hilarious, it makes fun of the tech industry, however unfortunately the show doesn’t have the best final season.
Would definitely sill recommend for anybody who liked Community or P&R

Westworld: Thriller, Science Fiction
This show is fucking wild. It’s dark, it’s deep, the performances are great and the writing is phenomenal. What if we made an AI theme park? What could go wrong?
If you liked: Blade Runner, GoT, Ex Machina, etc. you’ll love this show.

McMillions: Thriller/Comedy Docuseries
I have yet to finish this actually but so far it’s been a Wild Ride. I don’t wanna say much about it because it’s better to go in blind.
If you liked the Tiger King on Netflix you’ll like this show cuz they’re both absolute insanity.

oh shit i’m realizing that Westworld isn’t actually on the list of free ones so that plus all the ones after this reply you’ll need a subscription for but honestly i’d say it’s worth it HBO got some good shit
The Outsider: Horror, Crime Thriller, Supernatural
It’s like if you combined a true crime thriller with the IT movies. The atmosphere is absolutely chilling, the villain is terrifying, and most of the performances are fantastic.
Would recommend to anybody who likes spooky shit.

High Maintenance: Comedy-Drama Anthology for stoners
Each episode follows a different personNew York City, and they’re all linked by the same weed dealer. It’s funny, the people are relatable, and it’s a nice relaxing watch to get your mind off all the crazy shit happening rn.

Avenue 5: Science Fiction Comedy
It’s like if start trek met Brooklynn 99. It’s got a lot of dry humor, the characters are hilarious, it gets a bit dark fair warning but it’s an absolutely insane ride start to finish.
Would recommend to anybody who likes either of those shows.

Alright I think that’s all the shows I’ve seen so far, still need to watch a couple more so I might add to this thread later, hope somebody finds a kick out of at least one of them otherwise the last 40 minutes was a total waste oops
