One of the most exhausting aspects of being a leftist in American politics is being told “we’re all on the same team” constantly by people who are clearly and obviously opposed to your political goals, and take extraordinary measures to stop you from achieving them.

Some people who say this are telling the truth! I have many liberal friends who really do just have tactical disagreements about achieving similar goals! But it’s exhausting to be told by those who obviously *don’t* share our goals that they would if we were just “nicer”
