hey @HyVee - a suggestion for how to help make sure your customers have a realistic chance of getting pickup and/or delivery slots:

* Stagger when slots open *
Rather than open the next available day's slots all at once, open SOME of them at one point, and then MORE later. 1/
You could even do it several times a day! Oh, and don't necessarily constrain the slots to the time period - e.g. you can open, like, a third of the slots for the whole day at midnight, a third at 8am, and a third at 4pm, instead of midnight-7:59 @ 0:00, 8-15:59 @ 800, etc. 2/
This helps ensure that people who are working at whatever time the new slots open (often emergency service folks and/or healthcare practitioners) have a fair chance to safely get their groceries, and does so without making it inherently more difficult for folks who don't. 3/
(You should also probably start hiring people *immediately* exclusively to help fill online orders - that will allow stores to have more slots open which will ALSO help folks get their groceries safely. I'm sure you're already on that, though.) 4/
This thread brought to you by the fact that it's been weeks since I was able to place an order, despite staying up late SPECIFICALLY TO TRY TO CLAIM A PICKUP SLOT FOR A WEEK FROM THEN on MULTIPLE occasions I am *trying* to do the social distancing and I *physically can't* >_< 5/5
