my biggest character development since entering art school is learning that actually i dont want to be an artist

game development is good illustration is good storytelling is good but you know what's GREAT? being a self sufficient hermit with chickens and a nice garden

i think im significantly less ambitious now that it feels like the apocalypse is looming closer and closer

like i dont want to be the best any more i just want to be alive lol

also capitalism/academia has duped us into thinking that we HAVE to be the best, HAVE to be productive, have to do xyz etc etc but. we are simply animals with anxiety who like to tell each other stories. we don't have to rank ourselves by that or define our existences that way

we can just. exist. and do stuff because it's fun and we like it. that's enough
