To disseminate research, scholars once relied on university media services or journal press releases, but today any academic can turn to Twitter to share their published work with a broader audience....

Given the current push from university admin to publicize research, we wanted to know whether men & women benefit unequally from using Twitter to reach a broader audience for research. We find little evidence of this.

We track tweets for articles published in political science & comm journals, & we see some interesting patterns -- check it out @poli_com & @dianazobrien & @emilythorson
