Thoughts on Miqo& #39;te whiskers; Having whiskers is a recessive trait that only a small percentage of Miqo& #39;te will inherit. Similar to actual cat whiskers, these thick hairs grow very long & very fast, but can be easily plucked from the jaw, eyebrows, & sometimes along the upper lip
Naturally this is not a pleasant chore, and should be done as soon as the whiskers start to break through the skin. They may also leave behind "whisker wells" or large openings where the follicle once was which can easily become blocked if not properly cleaned.
Over time the whisker wells will close before another whisker will attempt to emerge which can cause other issues. To avoid getting them at all, one should pluck their whiskers frequently and often, before the hair even has a chance to thicken.
Over time, whiskers may not come back at all or will gradually become thinner and lighter in color when they do. Whiskers on a Miqot& #39;e who is not used them often find them irritating as it makes their faces feel extra sensitive.
Take a drink every time you read the word "whiskers" in this thread. Sorry about that, was writing it in bursts.
