Nov. 1, 1918
Nov. 22, 1918: "There is a general belief among the teachers of the Phoenix High school that they should be paid their full salaries for the time the school has been closed on account of the epidemic..."
New cases kept schools closed through mid-December.

Dec. 13, 1918:
Finally, on Dec. 30, 1918, "School bells of city ring today."

But, "The school children will practically begin over again for the year."
