Let& #39;s not go pretending that Liverpool are heroes for reversing their decision. They shouldn& #39;t have taken it in the first place, and you only get one shot at this sort of decision.
We& #39;re scrabbling around at the bottom of the moral superiority cesspit, here, but it still ranks them above Spurs, Newcastle, and the FA.

The trouble with this cesspit is that everyone is in it up to their necks. The fact that some raise their heads doesn& #39;t erase the stench.
And rather than being bothered about who& #39;s flailing around in it, who& #39;s gasping for air, or who& #39;s doing anything approaching The Right Thing, I& #39;m primarily be concerned that the overall smell is tainting and corrupting something I care about very deeply.
There are no victories to be taken from this whole sordid episode. Football loves patting itself on the back over any single iota of basic common decency it performs. It packages it up, splashes it all over social media, and everyone laps up how goddam "classy" it is.

Bullshit.
And yes, it always has been more corrupt than it would ever let on, but spare me the fucking lectures over doing what anybody with a conscience, no wait, anybody with a SOUL would do in a heartbeat, without even thinking about it.
It& #39;s pretty thin gruel, but at least the top level game has shown us its true face, this last week or two.

Now it& #39;s up to us to decide whether we can live with that.
