A short thread detailing why 5G masts are not causing Coronavirus, haven’t got a health concern (but can under certain circumstances which I’ll explain), and people should stop ruining the masts for no reason (putting people at risk).

First, my qualifications. I served in the British Army in the Royal corp of Signals, with multiple tours and a very successful career that has led to a current very happy civilian life. In that role I was taught all about Radio Frequencies etc... in a lot of detail.

The first thing is to explain why (I can say with 100% certainty) that 5G masts aren’t causing #Covid_19;

1. There are victims where there is no masts.
2. Radiation burns do not cause a persistent cough, temperature and “only” lung damage.
3. The pic shows the symptoms.

If the “outbreak” followed the above symptoms than you might have an argument to make. However, we all know what the symptoms of covid-19 are, so it’s clear it’s not radiation burns causing damage to people’s lungs. (Also everyone would be “infected” at exactly the same time)

5G uses a spectrum in the existing LTE frequency range (600 MHz to 6 GHz) and also in millimeter wave bands (24–86 GHz) that does go up to a very high range of the frequency, but here’s a fact.

There are naturally occurring frequencies that are higher than 100GHz.

So to try and say “5G is causing this” is as similar as blaming the moon, sun or other planets or random events that cause massive ranges of frequencies. This is nothing more than a conspiracy - the same was said about mobile phones will “melt your brain”.

Look back at history and you’ll find that there was a conspiracy that if you travel over 30MPH the body wont cope, organs will all implode and death is inevitable. I don’t see many people still believing either (phone or speed) as they are unscientific nonsense.

However, all being said, I can assure you that these masts are set a certain heights for safety as there are “safe distances” that are required so you don’t get radiation burns. Grabbing an antenna direct will cause burns (severe) to your hand. Which is very painful...

...I know it’s painful as I’ve had very mild burns after making the mistake of grabbing an antenna I thought was off and a transmission was made. This was minor, the 5G masts *would* be a lot worse! So stop burning them. You’re putting people at risk!

Not only putting people at risk, destroying expensive infrastructure that will help boost the UKs economy which is going to be very important as we leave this pandemic and try and rebuild the U.K. back to normal.

There are ground satellites, that have far higher frequency ranges. Radar has a frequency of about 130GHz and I’ve not heard about sailors dying in our naval ships.... Some communication equipment goes up to 300GHz and has a safety distance directly in front of about 50m+

The reason they have safety distances directly in front of them is they are on the ground. If they were elevated, there would be little or no need to have a safety distance. The same with Radar (it gets elevated). These operate (have for years) at much higher frequencies.

I’ve provided as much information as I possibly can. This is all easy to verify from basic searches, and simply asking the right questions, if you still believe the conspiracy, then nothing will change your mind.

Hi @IainDale I know you’ve had this bought up a few times on your show. Hopefully this thread will arm you with some facts that will help you put to those “experts” that say it’s the 5G network causing it... @Iromg also for you, please help stop this nonsense spreading!
