I've made some tweets about Mario Royale before but I should probably explain why I have problems with it in the first place

First of all, the game got taken down like twice by Nintendo already. By continuing the game despite that you're opening yourselves to a potential LAWSUIT
Yeah, that shit can ruin your entire lives, it's not a joke. But it doesn't only ruin your life, but also the whole Nintendo fangaming community in general.

Think about Kotaku making an article like "Fangame Creators Sued by Nintendo". Think about the effects that would have.
Everyone would be scared of making any Nintendo fangames. Communities built around that would lose a ton of activity, many fangames in development would get cancelled, and the devs of the remaining games would get bombarded with people telling them that they would get sued.
How do I know? This is already HAPPENING. Mario fangaming community lost a lot of blood when Nintendo started taking down fangames. People constantly tell fangame creators that their games are going to get taken down. It's tiring, and sad to watch happen.
I don't care if you guys wanna get sued, I just don't want to see all that happen again at a worse scale.

And yes we don't know for sure if Nintendo would sue them, but it's a risk. It's a risk that I don't think is worth taking given the game's... state.
The game is just, not that great. The framerate is... well not good, the game is full of skins of some random kids OCs and all I've heard about the game so far is drama.
I've heard about so much drama about Mario Royale, like the server got deleted once by the owner I think, one time they claimed that Nintendo stole their idea with Ninji Speedruns which is ridiculous, and there was a few more stuff like this
My point is that... Just kill it. It's not worth it. Stop updating it, stop telling multiple YouTubers to play it. Stop.

Oh and to clarify, after the second takedown the original developer left the project. So these guys maintaining the game aren't even the original devs....
