So some shit just went down in my zoom lecture so I& #39;ma compose it into this thread I promise it& #39;s worth your time

Basically we had an exam last monday for this class and it usually runs from 10am to 11:20am. So to take this exam we needed to run a program that& #39;s kinda resource intensive so it& #39;s understandable some people& #39;s potatoes for computers couldn& #39;t run it properly and had issues
So we start the exam about 15 minutes after the lecture starts because we had an unnecessary preliminary lecture taking up our class time. We had about an hour to complete this exam so 11:20am was still the deadline.
During the exam people mention they& #39;re having problems with the program and the professor, being reasonable, extended the exam deadline to 12pm so that& #39;s like an extra 40 minutes.
So I finished my exam on time and submitted before 11:20am so I didn& #39;t need the extra time, but this wasn& #39;t the case for most. The professor posted this announcement on canvas to let us know we have more time to finish the exam.
Fast forward to today people started asking questions with regards to the exam, the extra time, and how this 40% penalty would be applied.
I was sleeping for like most of this lecture so when I heard random people all at once in the zoom lecture when everyone is always muted.. Let me tell you that I rose like Lazarus from the grave when Jesus resurrected him.
So the professor states that anyone who submitted the exam after the deadline (late) was deduced 40%, but what he didn& #39;t state in his announcement was that this "late deadline" was from 11:35am to 12pm and anything after was not accepted.

Some people weren& #39;t aware of the deadline extension and submitted incomplete exams and nobody knew they were basically getting half their exam points taken away for submitting "late" if they used the extra time when these parameters weren& #39;t clearly stated in the announcement

However, the professor stood his ground and said to email him if anyone got problems
In conclusion mostly everyone got played, and I too, would be pissed if I had 40% removed from my exam.
