When information like what was revealed about Dom comes to light, my concern goes WAY beyond deplatforming.

He is deplatformed. Consider that done.

What is more pressing is moving beyond deplatforming to keeping THE CHILD safe

Even simply calling the parents does not keep the children safe. Dom mentioned several times that they were abusive, what would they do to the children when they found out? Are they doing the same thing? Where did Dom learn it?

That child is completely and utterly helpless in this situation and *we* are in possession of a lot of information about the level of danger he is in. Not to mention the sister, who we STILL don’t know anything about (age, disability, etc)

I’m actually disturbed by how many people were willing to leave the situation at the level of “damn that’s crazy, let me block”

This is beyond a block. This is very much beyond a block.

And he is planning on going to Jordan? To presumably be around more victims?

I would also like to point out that we are not in community with Dom. We think we are because of how present he was in our social media lives. But most of y’all didn’t even know the state he was from. You didn’t know his siblings names, you didn’t know his age.

You didn’t know him. And so how would you EVER be able to provide the level of protection that those children require by simply blocking him?

Furthermore, he could escape most of not accountability by simply deactivating his twitter. He could tell his academic department that what he did was merely kink. Like....

In conclusion, the way we move with child survivors and adult survivors is completely different. And Dom is not going to jail. There will not even be an investigation filed at this time. What will happen is his department will know about it. And should his siblings ever

Report him to authorities, they will know that another person unrelated to them (me) raised the same concerns. And should the children call the authorities on their parents, they will also know abt abusive conditions within the home. That is all I can do and I would do it again

Also, in case anyone is wondering, NONE of the survivors here have in ANY way been identified to Florida Family Services. The screenshots were not sent to them, they were read out loud by me, and I did not read any that referred to adult survivors because that is not my mandate
