Yesterday, I had the biggest scare of the whole quarantine season.

I nearly lost my boy PJ.

He flew out of his coop to a building across the way, on the 4th floor. They had a net and he couldn't fly inside. He just held onto the windowsill.
I could still see him. I could call out to him. But he was too far, there was no way to reach him unless we went to the apartment.

A stranger's apartment. During quarantine.

I spent 2 hours calling him back. Multiple times it looked like he was gonna fall or fly away.
Eventually, we didn't see any way. My sister went there, she cut a hole in the net and helped him get inside. I got him back. He's fine. He was scared and shaken, and so was I.
I'm still processing it all. The moment he dashed past me through the open door my blood froze. Just like that, so suddenly, he could've flown away and probably died.

I don't know why I'm making this thread, to be frank. I'm just happy he's safe again. Hug your pets, everyone.
