Prep for going to get my monthly Nucala (asthma) injection at a clinic:

I usually wear black, so I put on all-grey clothes to remind myself which outfit was the out-of-the-house outfit at laundry time.

left a change of clothes in the shed

Put on cloth mask with filter for asbestos lining.

Put on bike helmet.

Put on hygienic gloves.

Put on full-finger bike gloves.

"Siri, begin Strava" don't touch phone again until I get home.

Bike 4km to appointment.

Glasses slip a bit on my mask. Push 'em up with back lower knuckle of right thumb only.

Only touch things with double-gloved left hand:
>>Open door to clinic building
>>Press for elevator
>>Press floor
>>Open clinic door

Hold health card up for unmasked secretary.

Note: only 4 people in small waiting room, on sitting at different walls. I stand.

Before entering clinic room, I have to wait in open doorway. They start mixing meds.

Remove my hoodie (this is an injection) & bike gloves

Told I need to remove my latex gloves too: taking my pulse with the finger-pinching thingee. Assured its sterile. Sanitizer after.

Take my blood pressure.

They hand me thermometer to put under my tongue. I lower my mask. More sanitizer.

All this is standard every month.

Mask back up after temp. I note it's just cloth and asbestos-filter, but makes me feel better. Small talk with the two (PPE wearing) nurses.

Vitals are all good. Meds are mixing.

Injection time. Left arm this month. The usual.

Nurse applies bandaid.

Thank both of them for their work and say I'll see you next month.

Put fresh hygienic glove on my left hand to open door to hallway.

Put hoodie back on in the hallway.

Press for empty elevator with left gloved knuckle.

Bike gloves back on. Unlock bike. 4km ride to home.

Take off pants and shirt in the shed. Put on new pants & shirt, bag the other clothes.

Still in the shed, use Clorox "influenza-killing" spray on health card, keys, cellphone, bike handles, bike brakes, lock.

Go inside, wash hands twice.

Have a shower. Wash my face 3x, whole body twice.

Third set of clothes. Soap up my glasses and wash them for more than 30 seconds in the sink.

Try not to stress. Make breezy comments to the kids.

Touch base with work.

Write Twitter thread so I have the illusion of control over my asthma, my fussy lungs, and all the myriad factors and vectors that go into the spread of a pandemic.

I need a coffee.

End.
Looking at this thread, I think I neglected to mention washing my hands about 6 times between arriving home and getting in the shower. Washed them after I touched anything.
