Matthijs de Ligt has had a bumpy season at Juventus, and his form has been a far cry from his time as the emperor of Amsterdam. With transfer talk linking him away, just how bad has he been, if bad at all?๐Ÿง๐Ÿค”

On paper, De Ligt has had a significant change in his statistical ouput.
He has committed 4 more errors in way less league and UCL games than last season, and his tackle success has dropped by a whopping 10 percent since the Eredivisie. He has also scored 2 own goals, eek ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
These came against Napoli & Inter on his debut. However both instances were hardly comical, and instead ones where if he doesn't hit it the striker behind is going to smash it in
2 of his errors have also consisted of handballs, one being a dubious one against Lecce
Not so bad๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
Though Sarri's Juventus has struggled in general. We all saw them falter against Lyon in the UCL.
In late October with Juventus struggling, De Ligt had the finger pointed at him by the media. This does now seem somewhat unfair, as Juventus flaws go far beyond the Dutchman
De Ligt seems to be handling it well, and has said that he is not worried and this has been normal. He has also been trying to adapt to Italian life, as he moved there with his fiancce and has been learning Italian, and according to reports in March has shown excellent progress
With that, De Ligt should be fine. Amid rumours of a transfer away to Manchester United, these are surely nothing but paper talk.
De Ligt has had a bumpy start, but the man is 20. He's the same age as the guy writing this thread. Give the kid some timeโฑ๏ธ
